Tyrannosaurus rex - build me and bring to life a terrifying ancient apex predator!
Ugears launches its collection of dinosaur slots featuring the most fearsome predator to ever walk the earth: the Tyrannosaurus Rex. This mechanical wooden model of a walking tyrannosaurus is powered by a metal spring that transmits power through a reduced gear, turning an axis that drives the legs. A clever connect and link system allows this dinosaur king to walk on his own two feet - the first two-pedal walker in the Ugears collection! The eccentric gear will make the tail move synchronously with the legs, helping the dinosaur to keep its balance and not fall to the side, just like in nature.

Up to 13 meters long and 9 metric tons in weight, tyrannosaurs had the largest teeth of any carnivorous dinosaur, capable of tearing flesh and crunching bone. They also had a highly developed sense of smell, comparable to vultures, and incredibly sharp eyesight - better than eagles. They were the apex predators of the late Cretaceous period, roaming across what is now North America in environments ranging from bayous to semi-arid plains. Their giant hind legs and swinging tail made them powerful walkers, capable of stalking prey over great distances before closing in for the kill with a burst of speed. They also smelled a carcass from a long distance and then chased other predators from the carcass, making them the tyrants of the chalk dining room.
This amazing walking dinosaur model is a stretchable wooden scale model of an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex. A winding key is hidden in the upper part of the tail. Remove the key and insert it into the ratchet mechanism on the left side of the dinosaur, making sure the head of the left femur is out of the hole (turn the switch to "on" if you need to, then rotate the device above the T-Rex's shoulders to move the leg). Turn the switch to the "off" position (toward the head) and wind the mechanism clockwise, returning the key to its position between the tail and the body. Place the Tyrannosaurus on a smooth, flat surface, hold the automaton by the body (don't squeeze the legs together!), flip the switch and release. Your Tyrannosaurus will walk away, looking for his next meal, his tail swinging and jaws crunching up and down. It's actually kind of scary!
